箏演奏家、作曲家、音樂學者,「箏藝之研」創辦人,現任中國文化大學中國音樂學系專任教授兼藝術學院院長、中華國樂學會常務理事、中華國樂團行政總監、臺北市立國樂團藝術顧問,曾任行政院新聞局及文化部傳統藝術中心金曲獎評審委員、台新藝術獎觀察委員、中正文化中心音樂評議委員、《音樂時代》雜誌專欄主筆,專文並經常登載於《表演藝術》、《鋼琴藝術》(北京)、《秦箏》(西安)等專業期刊。 近年致力於箏樂的創作與研究,發表過開拓新指法的《音畫練習曲》系列作品(1999)以及《趣、夢、亂》(2003)、《星塵》(2008)、《眼神》(2009)、《賦格風》三重奏(2009)、《夜魔》(2010)、《鄧麗君》協奏曲(2010)、《阿拉貝斯克》三重奏(2011)、《稍縱即逝》(2012)、《克拉克爵士》三重奏(2013)、《阿拉貝斯克》協奏曲(2013)、《秋風幻影》(2015)等創作,以及《問天》、《瀟湘水雲》、《醉漁唱晚》、《梧葉舞秋風》、《龍朔操》、《廣陵散》、《空山》、《流水》等取材自古琴的改編曲。

箏啟蒙於廖運生老師,1977至78年間曾向陳蕾士先生學習。1987至94年間赴美、加34個主要城市舉行135場獨奏會及示範講座。曾首度將整場非西洋古典節目帶入美國著名的Dame Myra Hess紀念音樂會系列中,該場箏樂獨奏會並由古典音樂電臺WFMT進行現場實況立即轉播,隨後並在全美播出。2004年與2008年兩度參與江蘇省揚州市「中國古箏藝術學術交流會」名家專場演奏。2009與2011年兩度參與北京古箏藝術節名家專場演出,並分別應邀赴西安音樂學院執行「樂府講壇」高端講座,北京中央音樂學院舉行「現代箏樂講座」。2009與2011年擔任香港國際古箏比賽評審,2012年擔任上海敦煌古箏比賽評委,2014年參與首屆香港國際古箏研討會名家專場演出及演講。2015年先後赴南京、北京及廣州參與各項大型箏樂活動擔任演出及演講。

旅美期間,曾數次榮獲美國國家藝術基金會與伊利諾州政府藝術協會所頒發的藝術獎、民俗藝術薪傳獎,並名列藝術之旅人才庫。早年曾獲臺灣第一屆金獅獎國樂比賽古箏成人組優勝亞軍,臺北市音樂比賽琴箏成人組冠軍及臺灣區亞軍,北京ART杯中國樂器國際比賽古箏青年專業組優秀演奏獎。獲得第九屆中國音樂金鐘獎(2013)理論評論優秀獎(專書《夕陽下的琴鍵沙場:國際鋼琴比賽制度與問題》)。

1981年畢業於中國文化大學音樂系國樂組,主修理論作曲(師事馬孝駿、錢南章)。並赴美先後獲得西北大學音樂史學碩士及哲學博士學位(博士論文:李斯特鋼琴音樂演奏風格之歷史傳承與比較)。在音樂學領域中,主要以作曲與演奏間的互動及藝術環境之演變為研究經緯,關注面臨時代環境變遷中的「古典音樂」及「傳統音樂」,並思索中西音樂未來的發展動向。音樂學及音樂評論方面的專書著作包括:《琴鍵封神榜:國際音樂大賽相關資訊研究》(2001)、《飛越高加索的琴韻:俄羅斯鋼琴學樂派的歷史與傳承》(北京,2005)、《今樂曾經照古人:音樂文本、面相與評論》(2005)等。

Dr. FAN Wei-Tsu

Dean of the College of Arts and Professor of the Chinese Music Department at Chinese Culture University, received his training at the Northwestern University with a Ph.D. in musicology (Dissertation: Variant Performances of Franz Liszt’s Piano Music in Early Recordings: A Historical Perspective on Textual Alterations, 1991.) He is also the founder and Artistic Director of Research of Zheng Art and an executive board member of the Association of Chinese Music in Taiwan.

A prolific scholar on music aesthetics, Prof. FAN’s monthly columns on music culture and futurism published in All Music Magazine had generated heated responses on paper as well as over the internet. Among his critically acclaimed books are: Aspects of the Russian Pianism: A Critical Perspective (Beijing, 2005) and Moonlighting Liszt: Music Criticism at History Crossings (Taipei, 2005). He was commissioned by Taiwan’s National Endowment for Culture and Arts to conduct a major project aiming for the cultivation of aspiring young musicians. This research culminated in two books respectively entitled Gradus ad Parnassum: Music Competitions and Young Artist’s Career Building (Taipei, 2001) and International Sunset Colosseum for Aspiring Young Pianists (Taipei, 2007; Golden Bell Award “Music Criticism”, Beijing, 2013). He also contributes regularly to the Journal Piano Artistry (Beijing).

Dr. FAN is also an award winning performer and composer of Zheng, a Chinese zither. He played extensively throughout Taiwan, China and North America, and had been listed in the roster of the Arts Tour Program of the Illinois Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. His major works include: Qu-Mong-Luan (Savor, Reverie, Chaos), Études-Tableaux on Taiwanese Folk Songs, Xing-Chen (Star Dust), Yen-Shern (Upon Her Expressive Gaze), Fu-Ge-Fong for Zheng Trio (In Fugue Form), Ye-Mou (Dark Angel), Concerto Dung Lijun (Teresa Deng), Shao-Zong-Ji-Shi (Visions Fugitives), Jazz Krakowiak for Zheng Trio, and Concerto Arabesque. An acclaimed soloist in the prominent Yangzhou Zheng Festival (2004, 2008), the Beijing Zheng Festival (2009, 2011), the First International Guzheng Symposium in Hong Kong (2014), and major festivals in Nanjing, Beijing, Guanzhou (2015). Prof. FAN’s artistry was featured in an hour-long program on the web-TV Zhong-Guo-Gu-Zheng-Wang (China Guzheng Web).

陳藍谷院長

陳藍谷為台灣才能教育協會( TTEA )理事長、亞洲區域鈴木組織(ARSO)的小提琴師訓教師與理事會成員,並由國際鈴木協會(ISA)及亞洲區域鈴木組織委任為中國事務代表。陳博士曾應邀到許多國家進行大師班與鈴木師資培訓課程,包括韓國、印尼、菲律賓、泰國、馬來西亞、新加坡、澳大利亞與美國。

陳藍谷為耶魯大學小提琴演奏碩士(1997年)及紐約倫比亞大學音樂教育博士(1983年)。 小提琴演奏與鈴木教學法曾師事:Felix GalimirBroadus ErleSyoko AkiAlbert MarkovWolfram KonigWilliam Starr, Hiroko MasaokaLouise Behrend 。 目前擔任中國文化大學(CCU)藝術學院院長,並於音樂系任教小提琴。 2012年,於中國文化大學成立了小提琴鈴木教學法碩士學位課程。

陳藍谷為鈴木鎮ㄧ先生著作『愛的生活』及『才能教育自零歲起』之中文版編譯者。 並譯有巴洛克小提琴原典—『小提琴演奏之藝術』 (F. Geminiani )、『小提琴的準則(L’Abbe le Fils)。著作有:『讓音樂進入你家』等家庭教育系列書籍,及『小提琴演奏之系統理論』小提琴演奏統合技術』之小提琴教學法書籍。

陳博士並為台灣巴洛克樂團創辦人及音樂總監,自2006年以來數次受邀領團至歐洲和中國各地演出。

 

Lan Ku Chen is the President of the Taiwan Talent Education Association (TTEA), Violin teacher Trainer of Asia Region Suzuki Organization (ARSO), as well as the appointed Representative of China Affairs of both the International Suzuki Association (ISA) and the ARSO. Dr. Chen has been invited to teach master classes and Suzuki Teacher Training courses in many countries, including Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippine, Australia and the U.S.

Dr. Chen holds a Master’s Degree in Violin performance from Yale University, School of Music (1997) and a Doctor’s Degree in Music Education from Columbia University, Teachers College, in New York City (1983). He studied violin performance and Suzuki Pedagogy with Felix Galimir, Broadus Erle, Syoko Aki, Wolfram Konig, Albert Markov, William Starr, Hiroko Masaoka, and Louise Behrend. His current academic position is Dean of the College of Arts at the Chinese Culture University (CCU) and Professor of Violin in the Music Department of CCU. In 2012, a master degree program specialized in Suzuki Teaching of Violin and Performance was established in CCU. 

 

Lan Ku Chen is the editor of the official Chinese translation of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's “Nurtured by Love” and “Ability Development from Age Zero”, as well as two Baroque treatises of violin performance - “Playing on the Violin” by F. Geminiani, and “Principle du Violon” by L’Abbe le Fils. He is the author of the series “Let Music Come to Your Home” for parents and two violin pedagogical books, “The Systems Theory of Violin Playing" and "The Integrated Approach of Violin Performance". 

 

Dr. Chen is also founder and Music Director of the Taiwan Baroque Orchestra and has led the orchestra on several concert tours across Europe and China since 2006.
